The area gives you a great balance, with very easy access to Bangkok and Pattaya, but a slightly calmer daily life. Those wanting to visit the big city frequently can do so easily with the many bus and minivan services on offer. Moreover, even taxis are not expensive, as the airport is just 1-1.5 hours from Pattaya and Jomtiem.
